I LOVE Heidi Songs and so do my kiddo's. They love these songs at the end of the day. We always do our plus and delta chart, and then end with Heidi DVD's as we wait for car riders and buses.

PS: Sorry I haven't been posting much this past week. I had 2 sick kids, husband out of town for a week, snow out the wazooo, a broken stupid new furnace, and blogs a many to design. I am getting caught up and will be posting some cool ideas soon.
We do heidi songs each morning for warm-up and as I intro. a new letter, we sing the letter song during rug time. I LOVE heidi songs!! Awesome teaching tool. I already follow her blog and "like" her on facebook.

ReplyDeleteI had never heard of her before until I read your blog tonight so I have not listened to her before in my classroom! But I sure would love to win so we could sing her songs! Even if I don't win, I am going to start using her songs! Thanks so much for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteWe do Heidi Songs everyday. My kids love them and I see how much they improved using and writing their sight words. My favorite is when they are singing it while they are working and they don't even realize it. :)

ReplyDeleteI use them during transitions or at the end of the day occasionally while we're waiting for parent pick-up. Also, I play the song when I'm first introducing a new word!

ReplyDeleteI have followed Heidi on Facebook and Blogspot. I followed her madness from my yahoo groups. She is amazing. If you haven't purchased her sound fun phonics flashcards they are worth a try. The kids have great descriptive stories using the cards and characters. Idea was shared by Heidi in our group. ReplyDeleteI have got the other first grade teachers into Heidi's lessons at my school. I turned Phonics cards into a Power Point. All my kids love it; even my students with severe special needs! She is great!

ReplyDeleteI am following Heidi Songs blog-- I am really excited about this giveaway. I use Heidi Songs Fun Sound Phonics and I have really seen an improvement in my students' DIBELS scores. I want to try more of her products but am lacking the funds. I hope I win this!!!!

ReplyDeleteI also have not heard her music before, but love to sing with my kiddos. It's amazing what they can remember when put to music. My other favorites include Dr. Jean and Miss Jenny (found her at the Kinder conference one year). I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

ReplyDeleteI fell in love with Heidi's songs. I have not purchased any at this time. This is my second year teaching. But I am looking into purchasing the cds to use in my classroom. My students love learning through songs and this is another resource.

ReplyDeleteI have used her stories with sound effects - my kids really enjoy them. I have also used her guided drawing. My kids are always asking me "How do you draw that?" I can give them steps with her help.
